Smoke and heat exhaust systems in the fumilux® range are comprised of a skylight dome and a heat exhaust mechanism that is factory pre-installed on the curb. The skylight dome is quickly and easily attached to the curb by means of factory pre-installed hinges. Optional deflectors ensure reliable smoke extraction even in a cross-wind.
The fumilux® 4000 smoke outlet offers exemplary functional reliability and has been approved according to EN 12101-2. It features an automatic, single point thermal activation mechanism. In the event of fire, the heat (68 °C) causes a small glass bulb to burst, the integrated CO₂ cartridge is punctured, and the gas flows into the pneumatic cylinder, which then opens the smoke outlet.
Three different options are available to achieve a smoke alarm group activation as required under DIN 18232, the German loss prevention council (VdS) guidelines, and the industrial construction guideline: CO₂ , electrical, and electromagnetic activation. All three variants are activated at the central alarm station.
There are other advantages of daily use besides this high degree of triggering and functional reliability, specifically, natural illumination and ventilation of the building.
Smoke and heat exhaust systems in the fumilux® range are available in 2-, 3-, and 4-layer and thermoplan® versions. This ensures that the heat and noise insulation of a building can be optimally adapted to its use.
